Foam Fire Extinguishers
A foam extinguisher uses a blanket of foam when discharged to smother flames, soak the burning materials and generally cool the situation through the evaporation of the water.
Featuring a cream label, foam extinguishers can be used to tackle class A and B fires on your property safely, this includes fires started with items such as paper, paints, wood and textiles.
At Fire Safety Equipment, we supply foam fire extinguishers for premises across the UK, in addition to a wide range of other extinguisher types. With high-quality equipment, we make it easy for you to keep those in your building safe.

What can foam fire extinguishers be used for?
Foam fire extinguishers can be used on wood, paper and textiles, as well as some flammable liquids, such as paint, petrol and spirits. These are known as class A and class B fires, respectively.
What can’t foam fire extinguishers be used for?
A foam fire extinguisher is not appropriate for class C flammable gas fires (as it will not be effective), electrical fires (as it poses a risk of electrocution), or class F fires that involve cooking oils and fats (as it could cause the hot liquids to splash and spread the fire).Â
